Changping Urban Renewal New Scene Design Competition, Beijing / China

Background
With the popularization of urban renewal in urban development, more and more people pay attention to activating good content and scenes in urban spaces. Based on existing buildings and street space, public art and curation have undoubtedly become the most cost-effective means of urban space bar activation. However, due to the rapid construction in the past 30 years, there have been apparent innovations in hardware and software equipment, resulting in the current problem of talent drainage. Through this urban renewal new scene design competition, we hope to recruit excellent creative teams to rethink urban renewal's entry point and methodology from a broad curatorial perspective.

Curation
Since the first Echigo-Tsumari Art Field in 2000, Mr Fram Kitagawa has started a global immersive experience tourism model that takes art out of the white box as a footnote, drives community building and business flow, and opens cultural exchanges. Concerns and thoughts on curating in a broad sense beyond the art museum itself. The professionalism, coordinating ability and leadership possessed by curators, combined with the business model, organizational model, social form, space form, and communication science, will explode enormous creative energy, gather collective wisdom, stimulate regional vitality, and incubate innovative format.
