Die Anpassung historischer Quartiere an die Folgen des Klimawandels stellt Städte und Gemeinden vor neue Herausforderungen. Um über Lösungsansätze zu sprechen, veranstaltet das Bundesministerium für Wohnen, Stadtentwicklung und Bauwesen in Zusammenarbeit mit der Stadt Coburg und dem Bayerischen Staatsministerium für Wohnen, Bau und Verkehr am Dienstag, 3. und Mittwoch, 4. September 2024 den Kongress „Beständig im Wandel – Historische Quartiere an die Folgen des Klimawandels anpassen“ im Kongresshaus Rosengarten in Coburg.

An zwei Tagen geht es darum, wie historische Stadtquartiere ihre Einzigartigkeit bewahren und gleichzeitig den Herausforderungen des Klimawandels gerecht werden können. Anhand von aktuellen Beispielen aus der Praxis sollen vier zentrale Schwerpunkte diskutiert werden: ganzheitliche Ansätze zur Risikovorsorge, neue Akteure und Kooperationen, die Bedeutung von blau-grüner Infrastruktur im öffentlichen Raum sowie baulich-technische Lösungen für klimasensible Straßen und Plätze.

Das Programm umfasst Impulsvorträge von Expert*innen aus verschiedenen Bereichen sowie Diskussionen in Arbeitsgruppen. Zusätzlich bieten themenorientierte Stadtrundgänge in Coburg die Gelegenheit, vor Ort Lösungen zur Anpassung historischer Quartiere an den Klimawandel zu besichtigen. Die kostenlose Veranstaltung richtet sich an Interessierte aus Praxis, Verwaltung, Politik, Wissenschaft und Zivilgesellschaft.
