DESIGN COMPETITION for the New National Folk Museum of Korea in Sejong City

Overview
In order to create a ‚local era where people can live well anywhere in Korea‘, the Folk Museum will be relocated to the National Museum Complex in Sejong City to play a leading role in the national balanced development policy as a representative national museum of regional culture in the south-central region.

Evolving into a museum where the elegance of folklore can be connected to modern daily life and future technologies, it aims as a major facility in the National Museum Complex to have a space and facility scale that fit the trend of the times and become a place of exchange with other folklore museums around the world, along with balanced regional distribution of cultural assets.

Eligibility
Licensed architects, both domestic and international, may participate in the design competition either individually or as a consortium. (A licensed architect refers to an individual who holds the relevant architectural license as per the laws of the respective country.)
